11. Employees shall be selected to work on a holiday in accordance with the procedures outlined in Article 11.6 of the National Agreement.
A. Casuals, even if overtime is required
B. All available and qualified part - time flexible employees, even if overtime is required.
C. Full and part - time regular employees, in order of seniority, who have volunteered to work on the holiday or the day designated as their holiday when such day is part of their regular work schedule. These employees would be paid at the applicable straight time rate.
D. Full - time and part - time regular employees, in order of seniority, who have volunteered to work on a holiday or day designated as a holiday whose schedule does not include that day as a scheduled work day. Full - time employees will be paid at the applicable overtime rate.
E. Full - time and part - time regular employees, in inverse order of seniority, who have not volunteered to work on the holiday or day designated as a holiday when such day is part of their regular work schedule. Employees who are scheduled for annual leave on the day prior, or following their holiday schedule, shall not be mandated to work, so long as their request for annual leave is submitted prior to the posting of the holiday schedule. these employees would at the applicable straight time rate.
F. Full - time and part - time regular employees, in inverse order of seniority, who have not volunteered to work on a holiday or day designated as a holiday and would be working on what otherwise would be their non - scheduled work day. Employees who are scheduled for annual leave on the day prior, or following their holiday schedule, shall not be mandated to work, so long as their request for annual leave is submitted prior to the posting of the holiday schedule. Full - time employees will be paid at the applicable overtime rate.
G. Prior to mandating non-volunteers for holiday scheduling, management shall ensure that the allotted number of mail handlers allowed of in accordance with the annual leave provisions of Article 12.2G has been met. (i.e., If three (3) mail handlers are allowed off on annual leave on a specific tour, management will ensure the same number are allowed off for holiday scheduling purposes.)
H. Requests for Annual Leave during the Holiday Schedule Period (The three [3] days which make up the Holiday Schedule) will be submitted prior to Midnight on the Monday prior to the Holiday Schedule being posted.
